In the old days I used to have a camera with a little flashlight with four lamps that turned around. I used it all the time but my first real camera was a Pentax which my uncle gave me in primary school. I haven't stopped shooting since. In high school I learned to develop and print black and white photo's in a doka and I attended The Photoacademy in Amsterdam for one and a half year. After that I followed a masterclass portrait with Govert de Roos and Maurice Brandts at the Fotovakschool in Rotterdam. A great inspiration. Apart from that I just created myself through the years I guess.
I am now living on Ibiza since 2016 and daily live just passes so quickly, especially in summer. I try to slow down life a little through my photo's; like little paintings in time.
I had the chance to work on some series for a longer period of time; for example during the time I lived anti-squat, in the last area with greenhouses in The Hague and nature, before they broke it down and built houses. All my neighbours in the street lived anti-squat and I lived there in paradise- city for 8 years.
And then there is the story of a very inspiring woman; Tika Stardust who gives love and intimacy to handicapped or mentally disabled people. Beautiful.
I help companies by creating images for their digital platform. A good image can tell more than a thousand words and it just has become more important for your business to have attractive and personal images.
I love to make a portrait of you!
If you like my style you can always contact me. I live in the north of Ibiza where I have a nice gallery/shop with a big terrace overlooking the sea. Again paradise.
A sunny day!
